After a slick opening episode. There is little let up in the follow up. It even has a pastiche of a old Hollywood dance number. Adrian Lester shows off his nifty dance moves. He jumps on a bar in one move. Marc Warren has to clamber.
Albert Stroller is beaten up by a crooked hotel and private casino owner Frank Gorley.
The rest of the team want revenge but new boy Danny is still under probation because he messed up a con by not following the script.
The team decide to entice Gorley by kindling his interest in the movies especially vintage gangster movies . A complicated con that leaves Danny in danger from bullet holes.
The episode works less successfully when it concentrates on Mickey's personal life and his wife wanting a divorce.
Much better is the polished setting up of the various cons. Including Albert being treated like a prince in hospital.
