The Limo (#1.11)

Warning: Spoilers
New Years is always a great party but not as great as we expect and this episode is about that.

I liked it also because it reminded me of the NYE I had once when me and a bunch of friends rented the limo and were driving around trying to figure out which party to go and at midnight we were all at the limo. So I loved this episode.

One of my favorite parts was Lily and Marshall trying to find each other and her calling him from the limo and him answering, that was lovely! And of course that Ted got to kiss Robin at midnight.

And it was great to see J.P. Manoux as Not Moby. I just finished watching ER with him in it and it was a pleasant surprise. He was fun in it and him signing Marshall's shirt as Eric was a hilarious moment.

Seriously?

I would have given 6 to this episode - not very entertaining, quite slow pace - but it resolves nicely and has important plot developments in the end.

Half Way Point Of The First Season
slightlymad2215 November 2014
Half way point of the first season is a fair episode, NPH is a lot of fun as always, and we see Ranjit again, for the first time since the pilot episode.

Plot In A Paragraph: It's New Year's Eve 2005, and Ted wants to pull out all the stops. He hires a limo (driven by their old cabbie friend Ranjit) which will take them to five parties in three hours, and return to the best one by midnight to ring in the new year. They are on a tight time schedule so there is no room for change or improvisation. Not included in their night is Robin as she is planning on spending it with her new boyfriend Derek. But in her place is Ted's date, the friendly Marybeth. The night starts off well, but one hitch after another another is thrown into the plan. Will they be at their dream party at midnight and will they all be together?

We hear a lot of Bon Jovi in this episode as the first song on Barney's psych up CD is "You Give Love a Bad Name" by the band.

And once again, it's obvious that Ted (Josh Radnor) still clearly has feeling for Robin (Cobie Smulders) despite dating his ex Natalie for a spell, hooking up with someone called Trudy, the previous episode and having a date with him here, it's obvious who he wants to be with, despite his repeated denials.
