The title refers to "The Bomber" which was a popular nickname for a prize fighter after World War II and the successful use of Army Air Force bombers against the enemy.
In his boast to Alice how he can keep a secret, Norton mentions "the Brinks robbery." This a reference to the heist which took place at the Brinks Building in Boston's North End neighborhood on January 17th, 1950, netting the gang a whopping $2.775 million.
When asked where Ralph lives, Norton replies 328 Chauncey Street. Although there is a street by this name in Brooklyn, it's in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, not Bensonhurst.
