- Hogan makes the Germans think that Schultz has ESP to get them to move their anti-aircraft defenses.
- At the start, Klink is in front of the assembled prisoners with 4 new prisoners that he says were shot down over Zuglitz, in a failed raid on a ball bearing factory. Hogan says that Zuglitz is a graveyard for pilots. Carter asks why don't they do something about it; Hogan says that he thinks that they will.
Hogan goes into Klink's office, and sees Klink writing on a plastic map in the center of the room. The map shows the Russian front, bulges in the front lines, is written in English, and has Poland clearly marked. Hogan talks about a bulge in the lines near Kiev, and Klink says that the bulge is a trap waiting to be sprung. Hogan takes Klink's radio out of the office, and says he will have it back in time for the 6:00 news.
Hogan takes the radio to the barracks and has Kinch hook it up to the set-up in the tunnel. His intention is to record the news broadcast, and play it back 30 minutes later. Newkirk bumps into Schultz in the compound, secretly taking his watch, which he turns 30 minutes back, and shortly gives it back to him. Hogan tells Schultz that he does not need to listen to the news, that he knows what will happen, such as the Russians made a a 20 mile advance.
Hogan then takes the radio back to Klink's office. Klink tells Hogan that he is late, and asks Schultz what time it is. Hogan says it is 3 minutes to 6, Schultz says it is 2 minutes to 6, and Hilda says it is 2 minutes to 6. Hogan tells Klink that Schultz seems to know what has happened, regarding the Russian advance. The radio is then turned on, and the room hears a replay of the 6:00 news, as Hogan intended. Klink is amazed that Schultz would predict this. Other predictions are asked for.
Seven days later, Schultz is told that his predictions have been right 7 days in a row. Hogan tells Schultz that the Russians will advance beyond the Polish border. The (delayed) 6:00 news is heard again, and again Schultz is right. General Burkhalter comes to Klink's office, and says that the time is 6:40; Klink still thinks that it is a half hour earlier. Hogan tells Burkhalter that Schultz is a military genius. Burkhalter says that what Schultz has predicted is no good to him; he wants Schultz to predict what city would be bombed tonight. Schultz predicts Hamburg. Hogan has Kinch radio London to tell the planes , which are in the air, to divert to to Hamburg.
That evening in Klink's office, Burkhalter, Klink, Hogan, and Schultz are drinking schnapps. Burkhalter calls his friend General Schmidt who is in Hamburg, to see if it has been bombed. At first it is quiet, then sirens sound, then bombing is heard and the line goes dead. Burkhalter says 'They dropped a bomb on Schmidt.' Schultz made another correct prediction. Burkhalter wants to take Schultz to Berlin, but Hogan talks him out of it, saying that his premonitions might not work in a strange environment. Burkhalter then says that he will send someone tomorrow to talk to Schultz.
The next day, Colonel Hoffman, a female Gestapo officer, comes to STALAG 13 to talk with Schultz. Hogan is seen in the barracks, putting a tie on to meet the arriving Colonel, and says that the target for tonight is Dusseldorf. Hogan, Klink, Schultz, Burkhalter, and Hoffman are in Klink's office and hear that Dusseldorf has been bombed, so they drink a toast to Schultz, and another one to Dusseldorf. Burkhalter wants to know the next target; Berlin is mentioned. Colonel Hoffman wants to be alone with Hogan, and tells Hogan that she noticed a 'close psychic communication' between Hogan and Schultz. Hogan asks her how she saw the psychic connection, and asks her what she is going to report. She says that she is going to report that Schultz is a military genius. She says that Hitler has lost control, and you give fools what they want to hear. She says that she wants to be in Hogan's arms, and kisses him.
The next day, Hoffman leaves in a staff car, that has curtains over the windows. She says that she has a message for Hogan, and tells him to get in the car. Hogan hesitates, and Burkhalter tells Hogan to get in. She kisses Hogan, and tells him that she is going to Zuglitz (which is the real target for tonight). Hogan did not try to stop her.
Klink, Schultz, and Burkhalter are in Klink' office, Schultz says that the target is Berlin. Burkhalter gets a call from General Biedenbaum; no planes were shot down, and they bombed Zuglitz instead of Berlin. Burkhalter is in trouble.
Hogan, Newkirk, Kinch, LeBeau and Carter are listening to the coffee pot/listening device, and Colonel Hoffman enters the barracks. She says that she recommended a disaster, and asks Hogan to get her out of Germany. She asks Hogan why she let her go if he know that the target was really Zuglitz. Hogan says that he was doing his job.
At the end, Hogan, Klink, and Schultz are in Klink's office. Hogan says that the Gestapo blamed everything on Colonel Hoffman. Klink asks why these things always happen. Schultz says to look for the good in everything. Klink finishes with 'Terrible things are happening to us. Why?'
