Robert Waverly, a slimy lawyer who's having an affair, videotapes Duncan beheading another Immortal and tries to blackmail him into murdering his wife. He doesn't realise he's walked into the culmination of Duncan's feud with Lymon Kurlow and Peter Matlin, who framed a friend of his for murder 190 years earlier.
This is a good episode, but possibly not the good episode the people writing it wanted it to be. Whilst it's hard to believe that a rat like Waverly will be the person to bring down Duncan, there is at least a sense of threat in his early attempts at blackmail, even if it's pretty obvious Duncan isn't going to murder an innocent woman for him.
However, the episode's weakest element is the idea that was originally pitched: The Strangers on a Train moment where Waverly offers to kill Kurlow in exchange for Duncan killing Barbara. He's got no reason to think Duncan will do as he says, yet he goes after Kurlow anyway and proves hopelessly out of his depth. Not that Kurlow's next move is any better: It's pure coincidence that Duncan turns up where he wants him to and ironically he only manages to convince Barbara that Duncan's the good guy.
We do get some nice insights into Duncan and Joe's friendship at least. For all Duncan's hostility, Joe's going above and beyond just to make sure Duncan doesn't have to leave town.
Neither Richie nor Anne appears in this episode. Anthony De Longis, who plays Kurlow, will be back as another Immortal foe of Duncan's, Otavio Consone, in Season 5's Duende. (Given both De Longis and Adrian Paul are accomplished swordsmen, consideration was given to making Kurlow a recurring character, but it was decided to reuse De Longis as another villain at a later date.)

- Quotes
Robert Waverly: You want the tape, it's yours. All you have to do is perform a certain service for me, which shouldn't be too difficult for a man of your obvious talents.
Duncan MacLeod: What would that be?
Robert Waverly: I want you to kill my wife.
