- The men deliver a herd and celebrate in the local town. The town is rough and Blue has the misfortune to draw the ire of a professional gunman. Blue decides he must stay in town and face the man against the wishes of his dad and the men.
- After delivering cattle, the Cannon men go to town to celebrate. The town has no law so it is rough. The men clean up at the barbershop where Blue is shaved by Penny who likes him. She is the daughter of the livery stable owner. He has a drinking problem and takes advantage of his daughter to do his work. In the saloon Blue accidentally steps on the shoes of Johnny Keogh who is a professional gunfighter and likes to kill to prove he is better than Billy the Kid. Blue apologizes but stands his ground as his dad and others pull him away. Later, Big John takes his gun to prevent a gun fight. Blue and the hands are forced to sleep in the stable. Johnny arrives and finds a man in his spot. The man resists moving until Johnny grabs him as Blue enters. Blue's entrance stops the squabble but Johnny is out for him. Penny has Blue sleep in her living area to separate them. The next day in the saloon Johnny trips Blue and says if he is there the next day he is dead. Big John convinces Blue to return home but outside town he decides to return. The men try to convince Blue to leave but he stays to take on Johnny. Penny who tried to stop Johnny, grabs his gun arm as he fires letting Blue wound him.—Anonymous
