Lucy masquerades as a wealthy widow to try and secure Harry a bank loan. Ms. Ball had portrayed this type of character to better effect in the 1965 Lucy Show episode "Lucy Goes to Vegas".
This episode is more farcical than others from this season. Since we know the history of The Lucy Show and Gale Gordon playing a stuffy banker, there is a sense of naughtiness in the role-playing since here he is the one trying to put one over on Ed McMahon's banker character.
Although Kim is masquerading as two different characters in this installment, notice the portrait of Lucie, Desi Jr. And Lucille Ball (which was actually used for the Season 3 DVD cover art) remains on the mantle where Ed McMahon's character could have easily seen it and recognized Kim.
