Before the DVDs came out this was one of the only Here's Lucy episodes I had ever seen (when Nick at Nite ran two of them during Valentine's week 1996) and I didn't think that much of it at the time, but it does play better on repeat viewings.
Two comedy legends together don't make this an outstanding episode but it IS one of the best of the final season. Joan's energy is captivating and once her character ends up being cross with Lucy the barbs fly.
The sarcasm and insults are priceless in this one and the climactic charades sequence is actually better than it deserves to be. Actually the whole episode is better than it deserves to be, since the jury plotline was already a sitcom cliché at the time this episode was made.
