"That's Vincent's Price"
kgraovac21 December 2023
Lucy inadvertently wins a painting at an auction, and when she visits the home of Vincent Price to have it appraised, he mistakes her for an actress playing the victim in his latest horror film.

This one takes a while to get going. We begin at the auction house where Lucy mimics the auctioneer by speaking gibberish and Craig makes a funny reference to BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE. Lucy writes a rubber check to pay for the artwork and then begs Harry for the money. This is nothing new except this time she actually gets down on her knees and starts kissing his hand.

When Mary Jane suggests the painting may be valuable, Lucy schemes to have Price appraise it for her. Meanwhile, Craig is writing a paper on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Kim says Price gives her "the creeps" so they are worried about Lucy going there alone.

The last act takes place in Price's home where his den has been transformed into a "laboratory" so shooting can take place there to save $. There are several good jokes riffing on Price's persona and the chase scene with he and Lucy is the highlight. The final line is a real groaner, but for this show it's actually kind of expected.

Frequent LUCY player Jack Collins appears in a small part as the producer. 7/10.
