Some of the best episodes are when Jennifer is in trouble and Jonathan is scrambling to protect her. This is one such episode getting everything right. After taking a nasty spill, Jennifer finds herself in the hospital overnight for observation. Little did she know she'd be making quite the observation of her own, witnessing a murder in the room next door. One thing leads to another, and neither she nor anyone else can trust that she hasn't hallucinated the whole thing. Meanwhile, the bad guys consider her a loose string they try to tie up the entire episode. All the actors do a great job, here, and the episode continues to keep you guessing till the very last moment. The true star of this one, however, is Stefanie Powers. She continues to display true acting chops in bad eps, and great ones like this one. It's not the emoting, it's the little things, like the little look she gives the doctor when he finally lets her see room 203 now that her husband has arrived. Or her self-doubt and genuine fear as she has left the ladies room and is now standing looking in on the restaurant. Then there's the continuity, referencing Stanley even if we don't see him, Max giving Jonathan work documents that he has to deal with; reminds everyone that he does actually work for a living. Great episode!
