Growing Jealous
zsenorsock3 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
When Mr. Douglas gets a new legal client (his first in Hotterville was Arnold) who wants him to help her incorporate, Lisa gets jealous. Diane Foster plays Amy Collins, a smart, attractive farmer who not only knows how to cultivate the land, but can cook a mean pot roast and fill out a pair of jeans! Lisa tries to compete by learning as much as she can about farming (by going to Mr. Kimball!) and pot roasting (Mrs. Ziffel). Bt when she overhears Mrs. Ziffel talking about an episode of her and Arnold's favorite show, "Love is Never a Stranger" she is convinced Oliver is going to leave her for Amy and they are going to take a bus down to South America.

This fairly conventional story does have less weirdness than some episodes, but is still enjoyable thanks to the relationship between Lisa and Oliver.

The first Arnold still appears in this episode. He looks mangy compared to the later Arnold and has the black patches around his eyes and ears.

This is one of my favorite episodes. Eva has really hit her stride as Lisa. There are no missteps here. If I had to choose one episode to introduce someone to the series, it would be this one.
