- Bored with his usual routine, Frasier shuns Niles's company and becomes taken with the "Fox and Whistle," a British pub Daphne frequents.
- Frasier is losing interest in everything he and Niles do together, such as their wine clubs. He decides to try other things, such as Martin's poker game that night with Roz, Duke, Frank, Leo, and Jimmy. After giving up due to not understanding Duke's rules, Frasier goes with Daphne to an English pub, The Fox and Whistle. At first Frasier doesn't fit in with the other British expats, but soon is playing pool, singing songs and knocking back pints of beer with all the other patrons. Daphne thinks Frasier will go home soon, but Frasier enjoys it as it reminds him of Cheers and wants to go again. When Frasier starts going to the pub every night, Daphne feels that Frasier is invading her turf, and Niles feels neglected. Daphne is worried and cross, as her place where she goes to get away from the Cranes has been invaded by Frasier. Martin suggests she tell him, but when she does it is revealed Daphne has only been going there a month, just two more weeks than Frasier has. Frasier and Daphne decide to have a game of darts to see who will be the bar regular. Both do well, but Frasier, despite winning, is run out of the pub after making anti-British comments in the heat of battle.
- When Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) is feeling out-of-sorts, Daphne (Jane Leeves) invites him to her favorite pub where he begins to feel at home too quickly, as the bar is not too far removed from Cheers. Also, Roz (Peri Gilpin) joins Martin's (John Mahoney) old group of friends for a night of poker-changing the dynamic of the evening. In the opening scene, a youthful Frasier (guest star Andrew Dorsett) and Niles (guest star Michael Welch) make an appearance, allowing audiences to see how much they've changed and matured over the years.
- Frasier's interests have been flagging recently, and it's noticeable when he decides not to go along with Niles to their Wine Club.
Frasier attempts to sit in on a poker game at home, where Roz and Martin are playing with some of Martin's cop buddies. However, before long, Frasier is lost, and can't take anymore.
Daphne then says Frasier can come along with her to a pub she goes to, called "The Fox and Whistle." Daphne claims she has a girlfriend who hasn't had a date in awhile, but upon arriving at the pub, Daphne finds out her friend is now engaged. Even so, Frasier ends up having a great time.
Before long, Frasier ends up going more and more frequently to the pub, making Daphne uncomfortable. When she finally confronts Frasier about it at the pub, Frasier accepts Daphne's request, and begins to leave.
However, upon overhearing one of the patrons, it turns out that Daphne had only been going to the pub 2 weeks before she brought Frasier along! This causes Frasier to claim he won't leave, and Daphne then proposes a game of darts: whoever wins, gets to stay.
Both Daphne and Frasier trade barbs during the game, with Frasier's barbs growing more and more biting towards the British. In the end, Frasier wins the game, but his comments have upset the patrons, and he quickly beats a hasty retreat.
