- TriviaThis episode is a perfect example of how each story of the series evolves like a short stage play: all the action takes place on one set, there's an overarching theme that runs through the whole story, ensemble characters come and go establishing mini-plots and side conflicts, and an ultimate resolution of everything in the end, finishing with a fade-out. Another subtle homage to live theater in this episode is that it's broken into three acts, with a short fade-out between them.
- GoofsDaphne uses the expression 'bumbershoot' to describe her umbrella, claiming it's a British term. In actuality, the word only is purely an American invention, and only appears in American English dictionaries. (A real example of a British colloquial term for "umbrella" would have been "brolly".)
- Crazy creditsWhen the title "Frasier" and the usual silhouette of Seattle are on screen, an animated elevator rises up inside the Space Needle.

Featured review
Niles and Frasier are the most pretentious pompous figures in television history. They look askance at anything that they deem pedestrian. And that is why they are so much fun to watch. In this one, the two of them meet at that coffee shop and discuss each other's lives. While there, they annoy the workers, and, ultimately their father, who shows up with Daphne. The witty exchanges are a mile a minute. What a terrific episode.!
