Kelsey Grammer and David Hyde Pierce in Frasier (1993)

Trivia

Frasier Crane's Day Off

Frasier

Edit
One of the drugs Frasier makes Daphne get for him is syducane, which is a play on words and reference to one of the show's writers Sy Dukane.
The voices of struggling couple Howard and Lois (Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé respectively) had been married in real life since 1957 and remained so until Gormé's death in 2013.
Not the first mention, but the first appearance of Gil Chesterton, played by Edward Hibbert.
The first time Frasier's (Kelsey Grammer) bedroom is shown.
There are a number of celebrity callers in this episode. Garry Trudeau calls in as Louis while Gil Chesterton (Edward Hibbert) is filling in for a sick Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) to say he's forgotten his anniversary, and Gil arranges a private table at a five-star restaurant. Patricia Hearst (Janice) has a problem breaking through a barrier with her in-laws, Frasier (who's high) then dismisses this problem as "boring". Tommy Hilfiger (Robert) calls in, but Frasier (who's high) disconnects him as they've already had a Robert on the show today. Steve Lawrence (Howard) calls in while Niles (David Hyde Pierce) is filling in for Frasier and requests counselling for him and his wife over the radio simultaneously. Eydie Gormé (Lois) calls in & receives counselling from Niles for her & her husband. Steve Young (Blake) crashes his car after Frasier, not realising he was on a car phone, tells him to close his eyes and imagine he's on a tropical island, and finally, Mary Tyler Moore (Marjorie) calls in as she thinks her boss does not respect her and lacks courage to approach him.
