Will the real Juan Hernando please sign this check?
JordanThomasHall24 August 2018
The Convent San Tanco is overjoyed to receive a $5,000 donation from a Senior Juan Hernando in appreciation for being raised by the sisters. The check flies out of Sister Bertrille's hand and a crow flies away with it. Sister Bertrille gives chase to see the bird drop it from it's beak into a chimney. She runs into the house as the fireplace is being lit. Unfortunately the corner of the signature burns and they must track down Juan Hernando. From the phonebook they find many people named Juan Hernando and begin contacting them all. Sister Bertrille calls broke San Rafael mayor candidate "Honest Juan Hernando" (character actor Gino Conforti) who mistakenly answers questions that make her feel he is the one who wrote the check. He misunderstands that she is brining a donation check for $5,000. The confusion is compounded when the real Juan Hernando arrives at the convent. Reverend Mother Placido warmly greets him until receiving a call from their bishop (Francis De Sales) who has read in the paper that the convent is supporting a dishonest mayoral candidate. She now thinks the real Juan Hernando is the conman and rudely sends him away. Can the confusion be cleared up?
