Customer dissatisfaction with the Fawlty Towers dining experience comes to a head when an insistent American comes for a stay.

An American couple arrives at the hotel late at night expecting to be served a hot dinner. But with the chef off for the night, Basil is forced to make the dinner himself. Things get even more complicated when the two Americans begin ordering meals that Basil has never heard of.—Nadia Nassar

Basil has some difficulty with demanding American tourists. They arrive late in the evening but insist on being served a meal, even though the kitchen is closed. After accepting 20 from them to open the kitchen, Basil sends the chef away anyways and decides to cook the meal himself. He's a bit challenged by American English when the guests order screwdrivers and a Waldorf salad. Sybil, of course, has things well in hand but Basil finds himself with a bit of a guests' revolt over the generally poor service.—garykmcd
