Give Your Uncle Arthur a Kiss

I watched this when I was pretty young, so I didn't realize how unrelenting and tough you had to be in this sort of situation. This is the first time we see Mallory get really emotional, and only then did I realize what a good actress Justine Bateman was. It's both very dark and also funny, and it no matter how many jokes are cracked, it never lets the humor overshadow the seriousness of the issue. What 'Uncle Arthur' does is really unforgivable, and we see a new side of Mallory that we rarely get glimpses of: a sensitive young girl who feels unsure of herself in many ways but is ready to rise to meet expectations and can readily stand up for herself.
