This is the first episode to feature the more familiar version of the theme song, "Without Us," performed by Johnny Mathis & Deniece Williams, who replaced the original singers - Dennis Tufano and Mindy Sterling. Despite this, earlier syndicated prints of the Season 1 episodes have pasted over the opening credits, the abridged version of the theme song, as sung by Tufano and Sterling, even when you see Mathis' and Williams' names in the closing credits.

Blooper
The kids complain that the storm means they have to stay home for Christmas, and when they start opening presents, Alex says tradition says you don't open presents until Christmas morning. If the family was going away for Christmas, all the presents should have been packed instead of sitting under the tree.
