Robert finds a date only because she thinks he's Ray.

Robert Barone meets a beautiful woman who is a big fan of Raymond's sports column from the newspaper. But when the woman mistakes him for Raymond, Robert doesn't set her straight and involves Raymond in a complicated plot to keep the woman from learning his true identity.

Robert pretends to be Ray in order to hook up with a girl, Natasha. Robert was sitting at a sports bar and the waiter called him Mr Barone, and Natasha assumed it is Ray, the sportswriter. Turns out Natasha is really into Ray's writing and has a thing for him. Robert tells Natasha that he (Ray) is a widower (Robert killed Debra in his story and told Natasha (Ana Ortiz) that Ray stood by her through a very long illness) and has no kids (didn't want any lose ends)

When he mentions this to Ray, he gets all excited and they call their combo Raybert. Robert says that Natasha was really into Ray. They feel individually they are not interesting enough to pick hot girls, but together they are. They even try it on a girl at the laundromat and it works when Robert (as Ray) picks up Wendi (Christine Gonzales). Wendi says that her father loves Ray's column. Robert (as Ray) offers Wendi that if ever her father wants to talk sports, he would be happy to oblige.

Natasha sends over cake and brownies to the real Ray as present, and those are delivered to Ray's office. Ray brings them over to Robert's apartment and finds that Natasha is there. Robert introduces Ray as Robert to Natasha. Robert (as Ray) tells Natasha that Ray (as Robert) is having a clothes donation drive for the police. Ray (as Robert) tells Natasha that Robert was stupid enough to allow him to be gored in the behind by a bull. And that he got commendations and promotions at work, just for showing up. Robert as Ray says that Ray is just a scribbler, a shallow, heartless sportswriter. Natasha says that she has never met 2 brothers who admire each other so well. When Natasha leaves, Robert outlines his plan to slowly transfer Natasha to the real Robert, by downplaying Ray and talking up what a great guy Robert really is.

When Natasha visits Ray's house to donate clothes for the police drive, thinking he is Robert, confusion arises. Marie and Debra are at home. Marie is excited that Natasha has met Robert.

Natasha clarifies that she is dating Ray (and that they met at a bar), and she met Robert via Ray. When Debra says that she is Ray's wife, Natasha says that Ray told her that she is dead. Marie is mortified and Frank is speechless. Thats when Ray walks down and still pretends to be Robert.

Everything comes out in the open, causing her to break up with Robert. Robert says that he didn't want to let down Natasha when she first mistook him for Raymond. Robert tries to explain that people respond differently to Ray and hence he tried this. Ray has always been the smart one, the funny one, the favored one. Robert tells Natasha that he always wondered what it would be like to be Raymond and it was even better than what he thought it would be.

Then Robert tells Marie and Debra about Raybert, and they realize that Ray knew all about this too. Wendi brings her dad to meet Robert (as Ray) and he knows that this guy is not Ray. Robert admits that he has self-esteem issues.
