Carol was a bit annoying in this one. She is not a bad character, but her extreme thing for kids makes me not like her sometimes. It is as if the value of life to her goes down when people get adults. She took away a detox place from Lucy's patient because some pregnant woman was there. As if the life of some fetus is more important.
The story about the explosion coming out of a school prank was a pretty good idea as they could put so many issues into it, like a guy having to confess he has HIV to his dad, a girl being worried about how she will look while healing, the guy who did it feeling guilty.
I don't think I liked Carter's relationships since the very first one he had many seasons ago. I don't see him having chemistry with those women. The current one isn't an exception, but at least the story attached to it is good. And the final scene was performed very good, it actually felt hot.
