Dr Kovac says that Carol, in her pregnant state, looks more like a "lubenica" (loo-ben-knee-sa), which is the Slavic word for "watermelon."
In the scene where Alan Alda's character, Dr Lawrence, is trying to name items in the drawings the Neurologist is showing him, he says the funnel is "a martini glass", and then the tongs are "the picker uppers you use to put the ice in the martini glass." These are a fun nod to his time on MASH when his character, Hawkeye, was known for always fixing a martini to relax.
Rosalind Chao has a guest part as a doctor who tests doctor Gabriel Lawrence (played by Alan Alda). Chao played Soon-Lee (Maxwell Klinger's Love Interest / Wife) in the final two episodes of M*A*S*H.
