A Miracle Happens Here (#2.10)

A little Christmas episode. Mark can't spend time with his daughter but gets to learn how important family is from a patient that was a Holocaust survivor and is worried for her disappeared grandchild.

Carol gets her relationship to a new level with the gut telling her he loves her. It was a pretty sweet scene and I must say I like this relationship of hers way better than the previous one. This guy and her fit better together.

And this episode even has a sort of Santa Clause to make it even more miracle like. The guy really looked like Santa, but I guess this isn't very original.

It really was Father Christmas!

That alone was pretty mind blowing..!

But this episode also offers a great "feel good" factor. There's plenty to be happy about in this heart warming episode.

It is even possible that one of the gang bamgers became a man of faith, after the shooting , and sad death, of their local priest.

The recovery of the infant is analogous to the coming of Christ.

All in all this is a really rather "spiritual" episode - cleverly done.

And this review is coming from someone who is a committed pagan - I even surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this particular episode.

The weakest episode of Season 2

The weakest episode of Season 2, full of cliches and common lame TV tropes.

Disappointing.

ER is easily my favorite drama show of all time, and a superb show in so many ways. But this episode is bad. Thankfully it had some regular scenes lifting it, but the whole Calaus subplot and the grandmother talking about evil, it's too much and too silly.
