It's a sweet, cosy mystery.

It's the day of the wedding between George's daughter Mary and Detective Sergeant Andy Crawford, George is a proud father, but never off duty, a wallet is pinched, and fingers all point to a petty criminal.

My first ever time watching an episode, and I enjoyed it. Wonderfully cosy, enforcing the moral code of the 1950's, nothing taxing, violent or rough, just a cosy mystery for Dixon to solve.

It's charmingly acted, and Jack Warner gets to show off his numerous and varied skills.

My late grandmother used to recount how her and my grandfather would got to the pub, get fish and chips, and get home in time for this, and I can understand why.

How sad that 400 episodes of the 432 are missing, this is a very early episode, and for that I'm glad this one exists.

It's not going to tax you, not get your adrenaline going, but it's a cosy watch. Wait for a rainy winter evening, have fish and chips, and enjoy, 7/10.
