- As season one comes to an end, some things about the characters are resolved. There is a showdown between Paul and Mike as well as a hostage situation involving Susan. John the gardener reveals some things to Carlos while in court, and everything ends high and hanging for the next season.—Jenn
- Bree tells her friendly neighbors to stop comforting her so she can 'stay strong' while Rex is in hospital; Dr. Craig concludes from his constantly worsening 'poisoning' (actually George's work) Bree is the only logical suspect, Rex refuses to believe it but scribbles a note of forgiveness, then dies before he can be operated; for once in her sanctimonious life, Bree simply cries like a heart-struck woman, just a while. Tom has only learned about Lynette's dirty double game after he gave his notice believing his boss begrudged him a promotion, and decides the family's future like a man- actually, after some fun time with the boys he chooses to switch tables with Lynette, who must prove her ambition makes as fine a provider, while he will be a full-time house-father! Gabrielle has high demands to plead in Carlos's favor at his gay-bashing trial, in terms of baby-care. Alas, in court John whispers in Carlos's ear only the Solis lawn gets cut thrice a month- the macho-jealous hothead stares at poor Justin, who shivers a few seats further and attacks again, just when the judge was convinced Carlos is no hate-criminal. Edie isn't welcome to show around in her former home the buyers, mother Betty and adolescent son Matthew Applewhite, who seem very aloof. Zach not only refuses increasingly angrily to be 'baby-sat' by would-be maternal host Felicia, after hearing her wicked truth and handling herself Zach holds Susan at gun-point, demanding to know where Mike is to find or revenge his father Paul, now he knows everybody lied at him, the former Dana, all his life- the highly unorthodox Young family history interlaces with Mike's method to punish Paul for Deirdre's fate, but he also learns missing pieces...—KGF Vissers
