Miriam McDonald: Emma Nelson
Quotes
-
J.T. Yorke : [to Emma as she's staring at Coach Armstrong and Sean] Don't you think you're being a bit obvious?
Emma Nelson : About what?
J.T. Yorke : Sean. If you stare any harder, your eyeballs will pop out.
-
Liberty Van Zandt : Leave me alone, Emma.
Emma Nelson : Liberty, what you need right now is a friend, someone to talk to.
Liberty Van Zandt : But there's nothing to talk about.
Emma Nelson : It's okay. You can tell me.
Liberty Van Zandt : I am telling you.
Emma Nelson : Are you sure you're not lying? Because we really have to report it.
Liberty Van Zandt : Emma! I swear on my life that nothing's going on.
Emma Nelson : But the whole school is talking.
Liberty Van Zandt : I know and it's just a vicious rumor, honest. What if it gets to Mr. Raditch? To my parents? What will Mr. Armstrong say when he hears this?
Emma Nelson : then there's only one way to handle this: stop the rumor and track down its source. Then give whoever who started it...
Liberty Van Zandt : A good swift kick?
Emma Nelson : I was going to say a good talking to, but that'll do.
-
Emma Nelson : [after Liberty finds out that Emma spread the rumor about her and Mr. Armstrong] Liberty, I feel really bad. Is there something I can do, to help?
Liberty Van Zandt : No, Emma. Go back to saving rainforests and whales because when it comes to help people, you suck.
-
Darryl Armstrong : Ok, today we're gonna be dealing with equations. Now, dealing with equations, we always use the PEMDAS rule. Now, who could tell me what that stands for?
[Everyone remains silent]
Darryl Armstrong : What is with everyone today? Ok uh, why don't you tell us, Liberty. You and I've been working on it.
[JT and everyone else start laughing]
Darryl Armstrong : What is so funny?
Principal Daniel Raditch : That's enough! Mr. Armstrong, can I have 5 minutes of your time?
Darryl Armstrong : I was just about to get started here.
Principal Daniel Raditch : Mrs. Smith will take over the class.
Darryl Armstrong : Right, uh ok, um, class, I want you all to begin working on the order operations exercises on page 129.
Principal Daniel Raditch : Liberty, would you join us, please?
Liberty Van Zandt : [Sees Emma coming in the principal's office] What are you doing here?
Principal Daniel Raditch : Emma, go back to class.
Emma Nelson : I need to talk to you, Mr. Raditch.
Principal Daniel Raditch : Well, it'll have to wait a minute. I'm in the middle of something right now.
Emma Nelson : It can't wait. You see, I'm in the middle of it, too.
