    Very Weak Episode

When a former teammate from the Red Sox comes by, he tells Sam he is going to try out with the Sox farm team. When the guy falls down the stairs, Sam ends up trying it on his own. Even though he is decent, he realizes that all his teammates are in their early 20's and the juvenile stuff they do turns him off. There is a kind of lame thing with Frasier and a lab rat. Weak episode.

    • Trivia
When Sam tells Rebecca that he is going to try to make a comeback with the Red Sox, she sarcastically remarks that he's just trying to fulfill a fantasy, and that maybe she should try to fulfill her fantasy and go back to her high school prom, saying that "Maybe I'd have a pretty dress. Maybe I wouldn't weigh 300 pounds and be on tetracycline." Tetracycline is an antibiotic used for treatment of severe acne - although in The Last Angry Mailman (1987) it was revealed that when Rebecca was at college she had the nickname of "Back-Seat Becky", and tetracycline is also a treatment for venereal disease.
    • Goofs
In the opening sequence, Sam, Rebecca, and Norm ascend the steps on the outside of the front door. There is no window on the wall where a window should be (based on scenes from inside the bar).
    • Quotes

[Carla doesn't want to manage the bar in Sam's absence]

Carla Tortelli-LeBec: Oh, no, no, no, not me. I'm the kind of person who doesn't like responsibility.

Norm Peterson: What are you talking about? You have eight children.

      Carla Tortelli-LeBec: Well, I wouldn't if I were responsible.
