"Come to me, my noble Whitelighter !"

Warning: Spoilers
I am aware that few people will get my summary title, but I couldn't let that pass. This season beginning is everything that could be expected after the big changes that took place last season. Just one thing though: did the scriptwriters get the Dictionary of Ancient Myths for their birthday? After Ancient Greece, we now enjoy a trip to Nordic Valhalla, with assorted Valkyries!

As for the characters, this episode lays the foundation for some serious development, although things are a bit slow to build. Phoebe has acquired a new power and a stunning haircut, Paige has a job (sort of) and possibly the worst hair colour ever, Chris is integrating nicely to the team despite his hidden agenda, and Piper... well, just seeing her grin once is enough to convince you that something is wrong with her. The problem is, it could, and will, be worse. Soon. As a matter of fact, I preferred chipper Piper, she was a nice change from her constant tearful state. How many times has she gone catatonic already, anyway ? Granted, she has reasons, but it is nice to see her smile from time to time. Then you have Leo, who has clearly spent a lousy summer... and poor Daryl, who proves that while he might not be *willing* to die for the sisters, he wouldn't complain too much about it either.

The One With The Valkyries...

Warning: Spoilers
I love this episode so much. It's one of my all time favorite episodes and defiantly one of my favorite Season Premieres.

In this episode, Phoebe has cut her hair, really short, no one realizes that Leo is missing or that Chris did it, Piper is really chipper, and Paige is a dog walker. Eventually, Chris tells Phoebe and Paige that Leo has been kidnapped, and when they tell Piper, she is still really chipper. It doesn't seem to matter her at all. So Paige writes a spell to get her emotions back in whack, but instead of doing that, it erases her memory. And Piper has no idea who she is. Paige scrys for Leo using Wyatt, and the crystal points to somewhere in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Phoebe and Paige orb there and then find Leo. He's in a cage. In a weird warrior costume. The sisters get attacked and have to leave Leo there. They find out that they were attacked by Valkyries and try to find a way to get back there without being found. Chris eventually turns them all into Valkyries to get them into Valhalla undetected. They also need to borrow Daryl's soul to prove that they are Valkyries. This works until Piper sees Leo and recognizes him and makes a big scene. They eventually have to leave Piper there. Phoebe also gets a new power, empathy.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10.

Warning: Spoilers
Picking up a few months from oh, my goddess, Leo had become a fighter for the Valkyrie nation. Meanwhile Piper worries her sisters as she seems to be in a good mood and forgotten all about Leo. The landscapes are beautiful showing the ocean next to the vast green landscape showing they offer true paradise full of scantly clad women. They being you treats and keep you in psychical shape I can't see who would want to leave. Another thing I pondered is if Odin resides with his sons or is Freya the only leader they have to guide them? Is Chris on the side of good or an evil creature coming back in time to destroy the Charmed ones since he sent Leo to them and killed a Valkyrie to steal her necklace allowing the charmed ones access to the island?

Another story is Leo revealing he took Piper's pain away and would ease it until she could bear losing him. Its heartbreaking to see Piper twisted up in side, revealing her true feelings through Phoebe and hating on the man she loved. I rooted for this couple for five seasons only to see this painful breakup nearly impossible to bear.
