Eleven Angry Jurors and a Good Witch
claudio_carvalho26 May 2007
Phoebe is serving on a jury in a murder case, and she is convinced that the defendant is guilty. However, when she touches the murder weapon, she has a premonition of the real killer, who has a Medusa tattooed in his right arm. Meanwhile, the irresponsible Paige invites her snoopy friend Glen Belland to stay with her in the Halliwell manor, and he finds the Book of Shadows in the attic. While Piper, Leo and Paige try to find the real killer, Phoebe decides to use magic to prove the innocence of the accused to the jury.

In "Trial by Magic", the concept of "Twelve Angry Man" is used when Phoebe tries to convince the jury that the accused is not-guilty. Paige shows again the lack of responsibility and commitment with the mission of her sisters, disclosing their secret to her friend Glen. The negotiation with the gang of demons of the tape about the laundry of money is silly and spoils the show. My vote is seven.

The One With The Trial...

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this episode. It's different, which is always good, well, in the Charmed world it's always good, maybe not everywhere, but in the Charmed universe, it is. Anyway, it's a fun, interesting episode that I really enjoy every time I watch it.

In this episode, Phoebe is on the jury for a murder case where the man claims he had a vision of the woman being killed and that's why he could tell the police where her body was. No one is buying that story, but when Phoebe touches him and gets a premonition of the man who really killed Angela, the woman, she changes her mind and needs Piper and Paige's help to stall the jury until she can convince them, and get evidence against the real killer. The murder actually ends up leading the sisters into a demon above-ground operation. I especially like when Phoebe summons Angela's ghost into the jury room so everyone will believe in magic, and then they wipe their memories with whitelighter dust.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.

Warning: Spoilers
Trial by magic shows Phoebe being called in for jury duty when she has a premonition that the man who's on trial was not the one who killed his wife. The charmed ones now must go undercover to find out who did the crime and stop Paige's friend Glenn from finding out their secret. What I enjoyed most was the fresh take of Glenn, who travels the world, accepting Paige for who she is and shows he knows the true girl inside he grew up with not a freak. It also ties in with Phoebe's arch since she convinces the other jury members about magic we all believe in everyday and they take the word of Stan's wife ghost to heart finding him innocent.

Another factor was the rat demons who were unusual but deadly none the less. I didn't t think it could work at first, but the laundry money scheme they run for the underworld and the creative power, props to the special effects department, made them menacing creepy. I loved this episode from start to finish as it felt like all bases were covered to perfection.
