Pride Is the Only Sin That Cannot Be Beat
claudio_carvalho26 April 2007
Prue and Phoebe fight against a demon on the street, while a greedy mortal wants his box. When the human is hit by a bus and die and the demon vanishes, the sisters bring the mysterious box home and discloses that it belongs to the demon Lukas and inside is locked the seven deadly sins: pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. Lukas recovers his Pandora box and uses the sins against The Charmed Ones and Leo: pride against Prue; gluttony for Piper; lust for Phoebe; and sloth for Leo. After the exposure, Lukas expects them to self-destruct themselves for him to get their souls.

"Sin Francisco" is a very funny episode, with Piper consuming and blowing her credit card; Phoebe behaving like a horny slut; Leo absolutely lazy; and Prue risking her life due to her pride. With the exception of the bill of Piper, the story is well resolved, inclusive the tough situation of Phoebe with her professor. My vote is eight.

Funniest Charmed episode to date.

Warning: Spoilers
That's the thing I've been missing the most this season, fun monsters of the week, and this one delivers big time. Episode 16 only prepared us for the inevitable, but it's a good one regardless. Pre-Witched is my least favorite. It's the origin story we've been waiting for all along, but it's not realistic enough. The flashback bits are full of plot holes, and the actresses portrayal of the sisters is the same as it is now, but with wigs that don't look flattering on them. Present time writing isn't better either, and have them being attacked by a warlock on broad daylight, without anyone noticing or reporting the attack at the shoe shop... It's a lazily written episode, and one where we can't keep ignoring the black cloud above the actresses heads. Sin Francisco is a sigh of relief. Once again, writers make fun of the tension we could sense off screen this season, and the fun the cast are sharing is contagious. I think I've never laughed this much watching a Charmed episode, even. The return of the musical guest tradition, in the name of Orgy, is another thing that makes this one, one of my favorite episodes this season.

Seven deadly sins

A nice humorous episode where the girls are infected with sin and become extravagant versions of themselves. It reaches a boiling point finally showing flaws and how it affects each sister. It was nice to see each actress step out of their comfort zone and make fun of themselves. Every role was play to perfection and fit each sister. It really wins you over on their side without writer's pet being an issue.

My only problem was the main villain was menacing, but doesn't feel fresher out. I wanted to know a few more details and left wanting more. Maybe less is sometimes a virtue, but not in this case.

The humor was done stubbly and had my guy bursting. It really perks you up after a long day.
