I thought it would be hard to top last season's tragedies, so I bow very low to whoever wrote the last scenes of this episode. I am a bit annoyed at how silly Paige and Phoebe become for a while, even though it might be a sign that they are way too human to become really dangerous... while Piper, who seems the most grounded one, actually wreaks more destruction than the Titans even did together. (Btw, if she is Gaia, then technically she's the Titans' mother, but that's a detail.) But what makes this episode great is its feeling of inevitability. Everybody does what they have to. The sisters save the world. Leo saves the heavens. And in the end THIS is what forces Leo to leave... So everything they did right actually contributed to their tragedy, and you can see it coming from the very beginning of the episode while knowing there is nothing to be done. Talk about dramatic irony.
Oh, and the final scene is both frustrating and very well-crafted. The traditional door-closing scene takes an ominous tone, which makes you want to know what follows... but why do all the likable, interesting men turn out to be bad ???
