Fun watch

Warning: Spoilers
I think this episode is a fun one and worth watching, but body swapping happened a little too soon. Rose and Alyssa didn't know how to play each other yet and that translated to the viewers.

Training is NOT fun
owlaurence5 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This is a good episode. Now I am NOT going to mention the gorgeous sweaty demon, though he's definitely part of the fun... (hehe). (And I am sure that male viewers didn't fast-forward sweaty Alyssa Milano either). Even though Cole is now a good guy and he clearly means well, Julian McMahon plays him in such a way that you never quite know whether he means what he's doing or not, so that he remains quite fascinating.

Apart from that, I think this is only the second time in four years that the show has used Asian magic as a main plot. I think most elements could have been used outside the Asian setting, but the fights nicely tie in with the training sessions, and put Phoebe's long training in the martial arts to good use. Also, this is the sisters' first trip into limbo, although this is not the same limbo as in later seasons. (And on a side note, Piper must really have some bad karma, considering how frequently she ends up transformed or dead over the years. Maybe because she's married to a dead man in the first place ?) Anyway, the body-switch is useful to the main arc because it allows people to interact in a way they wouldn't normally, and it also makes Paige closer to her other sisters since she's now one of them (although I think Alyssa Milano's imitation of Rose MacGowan's mannerisms is too childish, but I'm niggling).

The One With Limbo...
taylorkingston28 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I really like this episode. It's not my favorite episodes, and it's probably one of my least favorite episodes from throughout the series, but it is still worth a watch. It also makes me feel cultural and I like I've learnt something from another country.

In this episode, whilst preparing for the inevitable visit from The Source, Paige is learning all of her potion work. Which I find weird, because we never really see Piper, Prue or Phoebe learn how to do it. But we see Piper that knows a lot because she's wearing glasses, that we only see in this episode, and none of the other 178 episodes. Whilst making her potion, she accidentally says something along the lines of, "I'd love to know what it would be like to be Phoebe". And then potion blows up and Paige switches bodies with Phoebe. I find it weird that Alyssa Milano seems to be playing an entirely different character, but Rose McGowan seems the same. Weird. Anyway, we also see Piper run into a girl who is chasing a man, who stole her father and took them down to Limbo. They need to find a way to get down to Limbo to save her father, and take out Yen Lo, the evil man who took him. Piper finds out what happened to Paige and Phoebe, and once they reverse the spell/potion (I don't know what to class it as, they both work) on themselves, Piper casts the spell/potion on herself and switches bodies with The Zen Master, aka, the Dad. Everyone else eventually gets to Limbo and fight Yen Lo. Paige's power has been amplified so that she doesn't need to say what she's calling for, only think about it. Eventually, Yen Lo is defeated and reborn and Piper and The Zen Master are put back in their normal bodies. Since Yen Lo stabbed The Zen Master, he dies and moves on.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10.

Switching Bodies
claudio_carvalho29 April 2007
Paige makes a mistake while preparing in a magic potion and accidentally switch bodies with Phoebe, who is training with Cole. Meanwhile, the envious Yenlo abducts his Zen Master and brings him to the Limbo. While buying some herbs, Piper meets Anling, the daughter and successor of Zen Master, that is trying to rescue her father from the other dimension. The sisters help Anling to battle against the evil Yenlo.

"Enter the Demon" is a reasonable episode of "Charmed". Paige learns the importance of the magic potion through the hardest way. My vote is six.

The real me

Warning: Spoilers
Enter the demon is a nice breather from the dark drama focusing on Paige learning the craft and Phoebe training to take on their arch nemesis when they switch bodies. While the fighting sequences are amazing it seems to brutal coming from Cole and like he's pushing her very hard making it seem out of character. The girls are haven't bonded enough yet and it shows as Rose plays Phoebe as to reserved and homely. Milno plays Paige with an annoying baby voice and a nervous wreck making the while affair seem fake. Though it does work in creating unintentional humor with awkward situations involving Cole making his girlfriend jealous by kissing her sister to get them to reveal the truth. The training seems to get thrown into the back burner once the action starts yet surprising is used to save the day like a deluxe mechanism.

The show finding its roots to expand the mythology, but the dragon blade and limbo don't quite fit. The blade is never seen again even though it can grant great power if it falls in evil doer hands and Limbo makes no sense since spirits usually are sent to heaven or hell. If They want to expand it in the future why not use an already established fact and work from there instead of a confusing mess that can't be explained away.
