At the beginning the media broadcasts reports about hurricane Andrew, but later into the episode, this changes to hurricane Anthony as in the episode title.
Several cast members said throughout the episode that the hurricane was a Category 2, but in the opening scene, a radio voice says that sustained winds are 145 mph, making it a strong Category 4.
The "landfall" of Hurricane Anthony occurs when a few drops of rain hit the car. Suddenly the rain starts falling and the wind blowing fiercely. In reality, that has happened long before landfall. Landfall occurs when the eye moves onto the shore. The eye is calm with no wind and no rain. The wind is blowing with no wind and rain with the sun shining and the person remarks "ten minutes before a hurricane hits." Hurricane conditions gradually move in and conditions worsen. They don't all of sudden appear.
A man falls from his ladder backwards and hits a fence with spikes sticking up, one of the spikes going through his body and sticking out of his chest a little, right in his heart area. He's discovered by Horatio hours later and the man is still alive but dies soon after. In real life, the man would have died almost instantly.
Another man, who's a murder suspect, fell backwards onto a square piece of wood with four large nails sticking through, the wounds linking him to the crime. The nails went into his back in his left lung area. As the nails looked around three or four inches long, they would have penetrated his left lung, making it collapse, so he would have had to have had emergency surgery to re-inflate his lung, but no mention of him having had surgery was mentioned.

The coroner says, the victims red blood cells collapsed because the victim drowned. That is nonsense. The hemoglobin IN the red blood cells doesn't get oxygen in the lungs. This has no effect on the cells exterior.
