THE BROTHERS BRANNAGAN – Terror in the Afternoon -1961

This series, which ran during 1960 to 1961, stars Stephen Dunne and Mark Roberts as a pair of brothers who are private investigators. The two are based in Phoenix, Arizona. The series ran for a total of 39 episodes. This is episode 30 in the series.

The boys, Stephen Dunne and Mark Roberts are hired by Gloria Talbot to look into a possible murder. Her husband to be, Mark Houston, was killed while working on a dam project outside town. The matter has been called and accident but Talbot does not believe it.

Roberts and Dunne check out the site and interview several people, including the dead man's friend, Robert Harland and Talbot's father, James Flavin. Flavin, is in charge of the dam project, he is not at all happy with his daughter hiring P.I. types. It could be bad public relations etc. He offers the boys twice their fee to drop the case. This of course just has the opposite effect and the P.I.'s dig deeper.

They soon turn up some evidence that the dead man's friend, Harland might not be the buddy everyone thought. Dunne and Roberts however only have suspicions at the moment. They hatch a plan and bring in Talbot as a part of it. They soon flush Harland out of the woodwork. A couple of solid punches soon has Harland ready to be turned over to the Police.

A quick 25 minute romp that uses it's time very well.
