Bob seems to be losing or alienating patients. A good psychologist who suddenly had one appointment in the span of two days. Carol tells him it's just a lull but Bob points out his kind of job doesn't have lulls! People always have issues! Bob's confidence is waning. A successful psychologist friend who is also a published author even gets Mr Carlin after observing a session. The friend really isn't trying to harm Bob and ultimately actually helps him . Bob attends a group therapy session as a patient and the distracted doctor gets Bob to fill in it works wonders and Bob is soon in demand again.
Some funny random things going on . Jerry is super busy in his practice especially compared to Bob . Mr. Carlin uses alias with the other psychologist and ends up in the same group session with Bob .
Bob considers a change in jobs such as learning to cut meat by mail!
Towards the end of the episode Emily wears a robe with a colors and a pattern that screams the 1970's .
I generally consider this series to be more low key humor. It doesn't always work but when it does like this episode it's effective.
