    Sgt. Webber steals the episode.

The two appearances by Walker Edmiston as Sgt. Webber doing a brilliant Sgt. Joe Friday impersonation steals the episode. Foreshadows the episode of Seinfeld where Philip Baker Hall plays Lt. Joe Bookman the library detective for overdue books who hounds Jerry as a Joe Friday-like character. I read the fascinating biography on IMDb of his many voice over jobs in entertainment including, movies, television and cartoons.

His appearance was so good that he received extended audience applause at the end of his first scene.

The Bob Newhart show was brilliant in their choices of actors to play secondary characters.

BTW: it was the second of eleven episodes that were to be directed by Dick Martin of Rowan & Martin's Laugh -In.
