This is a very powerful episode, the content is definitely sickening, and it rightly comes with a content warning. It didn't get the outcome I was expecting, nor the one it should have I'd argue, but it was an unusual slant.
The trend for regulars getting big stories continues, and this time it's Gary, his scenes with Eddie were really rather great, again we get a few seeds of doubt as to Santini's character.
Joseph Marcell is terrific here as Vernon, he's a fascinating character. Anton Valensi definitely adds something a little different as the hired thug.
