Both this episode and Tabitha's Weekend (1969) have the same bit about Frank's vending machine idea.
Mr. Hockstedder jokes about his toys landing on the moon before The government. There were frequent mentions of the lunar landings on Bewitched because, at the time, in the early and mid-1960s, the U.S. government was in the process of preparing to land a man on the moon. The evening news was filled with preliminary efforts such as moon orbiters and flybys. By 1966, when this episode aired, everyone knew it was just a short matter of time before man walked on the moon. That didn't finally happen until 1969, but the NASA effort captured the public imagination, and that was reflected in the occasional mentions on Bewitched. (The very first episode of the next (3rd) season of the show was titled "Sam in the Moon".)
