This was the first episode to be broadcast in color.
First use of magic by Tabitha.
The beginning of season three ushers in some changes for the series. The most obvious is that this is the first episode shot in color. Next is the first appearance of Erin Murphy and Diane Murphy as Tabitha, and her first display of magic. The Stephens home interior has been redecorated! Their solid-color Mid Century Modern sofa has been replaced by a green and white sofa. There is a new dining room table and chairs, the half wall over the kitchen pass through now go all the way up to the ceiling, the saloon-style louvered swinging kitchen door has been replaced with a solid one, new early American painting over the fireplace, the fireplace wall is plain brick, the cubbyholes on the left are now a bookcase, some rooms have new wallpaper, new draperies in the living room, and in the entranceway the candelabra has been replaced by the painting titled "A Girl With a Broom." Upstairs, the master bedroom no longer has a dressing area behind the bed. It's now a solid wall.
