  Robin : I can handle him.

  Annie : What makes you so sure?

  Robin : I know his type. My dad wasn't much of a prize, either.

  Annie : So that's why you care. You're the only person I can remember who did.

  Robin : [bashfully, as she kisses his cheek]  Yeah, but you don't remember anything.

  Robin : Good. Because I'm lost. What do you have to do with Clayface?

  Annie : [showing him the clay absorbing into her skin]  I am Clayface. I remember now. Clayface had washed out to sea. He couldn't hold his form anymore. He drifted near those pipes, and something in the chemicals made him whole again. But he wasn't strong yet, and he didn't know where he was. So he created me and sent me off to find out if it was safe. I was supposed to look around and then come back. But when I walked away from him, I forgot. Now he wants to take me back.

  Robin : I won't let him. Don't worry. I'll save you!

  Annie : Save what?

• Robin : I'm going after her.

  Batman : No, we're going home.

  Robin : But this guy's bad news, and she's out there all alone!

  Batman : Searching aimlessly won't help her. Be patient.

  Robin : No!

  Batman : What?

  Robin : I'm not waiting around while you study dirt. If you're not gonna help me, I'll find her myself.

• Robin : Whatever she's running from, it's so bad, she's blocked it out.

  Batman : There's nothing we can do for her. From the sound of it, she belongs in a runaway center. And you need to keep your head clear. In this line of work, one slip is too many.

  Alfred Pennyworth : Pardon me for saying so, but you are a kid.

  Tim Drake : Sure. Take his side.

  [spotting Annie in her distinctive red coat] 

  Tim Drake : Alfred, stop! It's her!

  Alfred Pennyworth : Master Tim, my instructions are to bring you straight home.

  Tim Drake : [putting on his mask and mussing his hair]  Too bad, 'cause Master Tim's left the building.

  Alfred Pennyworth : [dialing his phone as Robin takes off]  Sorry to bother you at the office, sir...
