Kenneth Tigar returns as Stefan Koepeknie
kevinolzak11 August 2014
"Possession" marked the last of six appearances from Kenneth Tigar, and his second as Stefan Koepeknie, who years earlier starred as the "Werewolf" (season three). This time, he insists he's been cured of lycanthropy, but now claims demon possession, Belial being an agent of the devil (Dietrich: "you know what they say Barn...possession is nine tenths of the law!"). A simple shakedown from Father Clement (Allan Miller, last of four) gets things almost back to normal, but it's clearly the most radical departure from series protocol. Norma Griswold (Susan Peretz) asks husband Roy (Phil Rubenstein) for a coffee mug with her name on it, and he returns with his first wife's name engraved instead. The not so battered wife also objects to his choice of designer jeans, which do not allow her freedom of movement; forced to stand in the squad room, her well endowed assets prove a major distraction for Harris, as they directly cross his line of vision. Harris is also distracted by the painting he'd just purchased, dismayed that the elderly artist is apparently NOT at death's door as he had hoped!

Makes you realize or remember how good the late Jack Soo was

Kenneth Tigar returns as one who is possessed or says he is. When he was on years earlier, his interaction with Jack Soo or rather Jack Solo's interaction with him was brilliant. Steve Landesburg and Ron Carey we're kind of brought in to replace Abe Vigoda and Jack Soo but they were irreplaceable.
