This was the third season premiere and the show opening is slightly different. In the first season opener, as Jean Stapleton hits her screechy high note, the audience's laughter can be heard under the note. Starting with this episode and for the rest of the season, no audience laughter is heard.
Listen closely during Archie's TV editorial, and you'll hear a repeated line; Edith's remark about Archie sitting in a stool drowning it out the first time.
Carroll O'Connor slurs some of his words, indicating a little too much celebrating of the taping of the show's third season opener. The most glaring example was when Lionel visits with his date, O'Connor flubs with "How come body-every knows Judy but me?".
