    • Trivia
Jennifer Garner's real-life pregnancy was written into the series. Her need to be on maternity leave meant that the season was cut back to 17 episodes. It also necessitated the reduction of her action scenes, hence the drafting in of Rachel Nichols as her replacement. This coincidentally gave this season a cyclical feeling with the first one, in which Sydney Bristow was guided through the treacherous waters of espionage by her handler, Michael Vaughn. In this season, Bristow is performing the same role for Rachel Gibson.
    • Goofs
When Sydney reads off a list of numbers for a security system to Dixon over the phone, he types in the wrong number, and still gives her correct information to disable the security system.
    • Quotes

Michael Vaughn: I love you Syd. That's why I have to tell you something.

Sydney Bristow: Okay, whatever it is I can handle it, just don't tell me you're a bad guy.

[Vaughn goes silent and looks at Sydney]

Sydney Bristow: You're not a bad guy are you?

      [Vaughn sighs]

      Sydney Bristow: Vaughn?

Michael Vaughn: It's no accident that I was the one you came to when you walked in the CIA with your story about SD-6.

Sydney Bristow: Vaughn... I don't understand, what are you telling me?

Michael Vaughn: Well for starters, my name isn't Michael Vaughn...

[There is a pause, before Sydney can respond another car slams into them]
