Sidney Blackmer appears here in one of the first of Alfred Hitchcock's stories, and he will, six years later, appear in one of the last (The Faith of Aaron Menefee (1962)), and of those who appeared more than once, he would have the longest stretch between appearances in the seven seasons of the show.
Frank (Sidney Blackmer) talks about the future when, after six or seven years, he'll be sixty years old, but Blackmer actually turned sixty several months before this story was filmed.
This takes place from July to December 1948, in September 1954, and in July 1955.
When Frank (Sidney Blackmer) returns home and Mildred (Virginia Gregg) describes him as being tall and handsome, he jokes that his wife may have been confused him with Gregory Peck. Peck previously appeared in two films directed by Alfred Hitchcock: Spellbound (1945) and The Paradine Case (1947).
