• Kim Bauer : [Chase sees Kim working alone in a computer room and he sneaks up behind her and hugs her]  You scared me.

  Chase Edmunds : [Smiling]  What are you doing in here?

  Kim Bauer : I'm refreshing a drive, so what's going on with Salazar? Were you there when it happened?

  Chase Edmunds : [Kisses her forehead]  Yeah it was pretty crazy

  Kim Bauer : How's my dad taking it?

  Kim Bauer : [referring to them secretly dating]  good because I was thinking of telling him today.

  Chase Edmunds : OK, but today might not be the best day to tell him.

  Kim Bauer : [Insisting]  No "day" is a good day to tell him that we've been dating. We agreed we'd tell him after six months, why don't we just tell him and get it over with.

  Chase Edmunds : Alright.

  Jack Bauer : What kind of changes are we talking about?

  Luis Annicon : Don't worry Jack, they're not "deal breakers". His still going to give up all the terrorist cells he deals with, he just wants to go to a class two detention, not maximum security

  Luis Annicon : Yeah

  Douglas Shaye : My client's not happy you're not holding him in Florida

  Luis Annicon : His getting himself a new cell. That's it

  Luis Annicon : [to Chase and Jack]  I let you two do your jobs, why don't let me do mine?

  Jack Bauer : Because we don't want this thing going south over some small "detail," Salazar's unstable and we can't predict what's going to push his buttons and to be frank, there's too much at stake

  Luis Annicon : listen Jack, I know you spent the last two years getting Salazar and I respect that but there's protocol I have to follow...

  Jack Bauer : [Interrupts him, before taking him to the side to talk privately]  Luis, come here for a second

  Jack Bauer : Putting him away is not the point here: if he doesn't talk: we haven't accomplished anything. I didn't lose two years of my life to arrest some "drug dealer." Salazar does business with terrorist cells around the world. Brining them down is our only objective, are we clear?

  Luis Annicon : I understand but if you give Salazar everything he asks for, his just going to want more. This is the deal and his going to take it

• Jack Bauer : Where are the transcripts of Salazar and the DA?

  Chloe O'Brian : I sent them to your system: it's in your directory

  Jack Bauer : I didn't want them in my directory. I want them stored with the rest of my files of Salazar

  Chloe O'Brian : Ok I'll do it

  Jack Bauer : Listen to me, if you can't get things done right the first time, just me know because I can someone else who can

  Chloe O'Brian : I did do it right. If you wanted it saved with the rest of the files, you should've said so. That isn't standard so I wouldn't have done that way would I?

  Jack Bauer : Just do it that way from now on ok?

  Chloe O'Brian : I can't read minds Jack, you're just going to have to spell it out for me otherwise this relationship...

  Jack Bauer : [Yelling at her]  damn it Chloe just do it now!

  Chloe O'Brian : Fine

  Chase Edmunds : [after hearing Jack yelling at Chloe]  what was that all about?

  Jack Bauer : I need you to replace Chloe for me

  Chase Edmunds : Replace her? She's the best analyst we got

  Jack Bauer : No, she's not. She's slow

  Chase Edmunds : She's not slow. She maybe a little weird but she knows her stuff

  Chase Edmunds : [Noticing he looks stressed]  you look like hell

  Jack Bauer : What'd you just say to me?

  Chase Edmunds : You're in an active protocol. I need to know if you're up for it or not

  Jack Bauer : [Amused]  I like working with you, you're a nice kid but don't you ever come into my office and talk to me like that again you understand me?

  Chase Edmunds : I'm just saying your un-edged ok? I mean come on man your about to fire Chloe for no reason

  Jack Bauer : The grid won't come up

  Chase Edmunds : Because you control shift back out of it, you're still in navigation

  Jack Bauer : [after Chase helps him]  thank you

  Jack Bauer : Look, can you just patch it through to my office?

  Chloe O'Brian : [Just walking up to her desk, referring to Jack]  what's his problem today?

  Chase Edmunds : Nothing

  Jack Bauer : [while Chase walks into Jack's office]  this timeline doesn't make sense. It goes straight from December to February

  Chase Edmunds : What're you trying to do?

  Jack Bauer : Same thing you should do: solve this problem

  Chase Edmunds : [Sits down in front of him]  that's not what I'm talking about. Listen Jack, I'm going to be honest with you. I look up to you, I'd take a bullet for you but right now I'm going to "hold the mirror up." You were under with Salazar for six months, I know what they did to you, and I know what you did to yourself. You can't make that go away overnight, you think I didn't know?

  Jack Bauer : You should mind your own business Chase

  Chase Edmunds : All I'm trying to say is that I'm here for you but today is not the day to prove to everybody that you're all better
