The movement, the effects, the music and the colours all work together to produce an engaging and memorable short film
I'm not sure quite how they shot it or rather what effects they applied afterwards but the majority of this short looks like it is being displayed on a number of cojoined screens, which are slightly out of alignment. The resulting effect is to ever so slightly fragment the main image. This idea is expanded with a series of later shots using merged images all shot on a rich green floor. As you can imagine from this, the narrative is not really present and instead this is a dance that has been captured on film and treated visually to increase its suitability for that media.
And it works. I was held initially by the fragmenting effect early on but the later effects also worked and made the action more interesting and visually appealing. The dance itself is also impressive with fluid and natural movements made to look so effortless and enchanting. On top of this I really enjoyed the music and felt that it not only worked by itself but it really worked well with the images and movements on the screen. It isn't anything amazing though, because it is essentially a dance put on film but it really works on the level it tries to be on. Well worth seeing if you like dance and short films.
