- Princesses Peach and Daisy wear skintight athletic outfits that only cover their waist and chest area, exposing their midriffs and thighs. Said outfits are so tight they literally cling to their forms, putting unconscious focus on their chests/breasts and buttocks, though nothing graphic is depicted.
- Daisy's main victory animation involves her licking her thumb, sticking it onto her backside and acting like it is hot to touch.
- One of Waluigi's taunts involves him pointing his fingertips at his crotch more than once. This is very reminiscent to a taunt performed by the WWF wrestling stable D-Generation X, usually accompanied by "Suck it!", a colloquial term for telling someone to perform fellatio on them.

- Characters can slide, kick, head butt or punch the opposing players in order to get them out of the way or to steal the ball. This is done more akin to slapstick violence or playing dirty rather than anything serious or controversial.
- If a player is kicked into the outer-lying electrical fence, they get electrocuted something awful and stunned for a few seconds.
- If the ball is kicked hard at another character, they can be knocked down and stunned.
