Wow

I don't want to seem biased, but coming from an Irish background... I found the Black Donnellys to be amazing. I like movies and shows that deal with gangs... (i.e the Godfather). I love the plot so far... and to see how Tommy has changed to save his brother... I really can't wait for the next episode.

I thought the cast was good and good actors were selected, so hopefully this'll be a good show and won't be overshadowed by Heros, which comes on before it, but I think from what I've heard and seen is coming to a close in the series so, yeah just had to give my look on the show. Hope its a hit :-)

It's a Keeper

This show is excellently cast and written (thus far - only 2 episodes in). Seems like it will become difficult to keep a meaty enough storyline, but please don't end this show before its time. It's more like a movie than a TV show - and that's a good thing. Heroes is a big hit and no one's surprised at that (seeing as it's the only original television show idea in many years). But the Black Donnellys shows amazing potential. Give this one a solid shot.

Oh, and NBC - if you were wondering why about 4 million people tuned out for the second half it's because it was 10:30 at night, people were tired, and those rating boxes are put in the wrong peoples' houses. You know what I'm talking about...

the black donnellys

I love this show. The story is unique and the actors' portrayal of each character is absolutely outstanding. I am a native New Yorker and of Irish descent so I can relate to the characters, who seem so familiar to me. I sincerely hope that the network gives this show a chance. Some people have posted comments on nbc.com stating that the story is too fictional, that you can go to Boston on NY but you won't find anyone like the character Tommy plays........wrong! Go there, live there and see that this is a very real story concept. Jonathan Tucker is such a fine actor, as well as the entire cast. Bravco!! Encore!! Erin go braugh!!

Great Show
mudhunt27 February 2007
This show was well thought out by the looks of it so far. The camera shots are amazing and the music fits rather well. I think it is creative how the narrarator has to take a few tries in the beginning to get the story right. So far the show has a great story line, and looks like it will be really interesting to watch it all unfold. The idea reminds me something similar of Prison Break, the fact that a brother goes out of the way to help out his other brother/s with the possibility to lose all he may have, except its in a different setting. Overall looks like this is going to be a show you wont want to miss if you don't have too.

brilliant pilot
marilynfh24 October 2006
I watched the pilot just an hour ago on my TV production class. It's incredibly brilliant! Only, from my view, this is much more a movie style story (as much of the elements reminded me of Trainspotting) rather than a Prime Time thing... It seems to me that the story is perfectly ended after the pilot. I don't really know what to anticipate from the following episodes. Yet, I haven't seen the other episodes . Maybe it will carve its own way. But even though, as a single episode, it contains too much information and the story fluctuates really a lot. So, still the same question, I don't see how the story could go on in like way for the whole season...
