Yale Boss is the new office boy at a firm where most of the staff is composed of attractive young women. They play a few pranks on the latest hire and he seeks his revenge in this mild split-reel comedy from Edison.
Although the ladies who make up the staff are attractive, this short comedy is shot very simply -- mostly on one set -- with what was by 1912, an old-fashioned story line of one practical joke followed by another practical joke, ending in a group portrait. Over at Vitagraph, far more sophisticated comedies were being produced and within months Mack Sennett would begin a revolution in slapstick at Keystone.
