A Chance To See The Alluring Mistinguett
boblipton12 February 2023
Doctor Mistinguett has a waiting room full of patients, and no time to spend with her husband Charles Prince. He sulks until a friend drops by and syggests they go out to the circus. There Prince pals around with the performers until he drops the strong lady's barbell on his foot. Guess who's called in to see to the injury?

It's not a particularly excellent movie, but it is a chance to see Mistinguett. She had begun her entertainment career in 1895 at the age of 12. Ten years later she adopted her stage name and performed her risque act at venues like the Casino de Paris, the Folies Bergère, Moulin Rouge and Eldorado. Her affairs were numerous and well publicized, and she was the highest paid entertainer in the world for a long time. She died in 1956, nominally 82, but no one believed it.

La Doctoresse review
JoeytheBrit20 June 2020
A comedy with few laughs, with Charles Prince's Rigadin looking further afield when he feels that his doctor wife (famed Apache dancer, Mistinguett) is neglecting him. For some reason, Prince seems unable to work much physical comedy into the storyline which, for a silent comedy, is something of a necessity
