The big fight scene between the secret service agent and the moonshiner was filmed on Nov. 13, 1915. With many trade press representatives as witnesses, Director Eugene Nowland called "action" to what he and the actors had agreed to make the most realistic fight on film. Spurred on by background players firing rifles and revolvers, the cast went all out till the cue to "cut". The aftermath found Gladys Hulette had been struck by a stray fist, as the part called for her to try breaking up the men. Morris Foster had a deep gash in his knee. Jack Lehnberg said he'd only hurt his wrist, but later fainted and was found to have two broken ribs.
